Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman, an Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics was the one who was the one who led her team in the U.S. to victory in both the years 2012 and 2016. Her six Olympic gold medals are part of a record-breaking total. She was also one of the two World Champion teams. The native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's love for the sport can be traced back to a "mommy & me" gymnastics class she took when she was just 18 months old. Aly is a leader at both the ground and on it as well as a fervent champion of body positivity. This was evident recently, as she spoke out against Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. She was born in 1994. Aly Raisman started gymnastics at an early age and was a part of her U.S. gymnastics team win the 2011 World Championships. Two medals were awarded to her in 2012 in the London Summer Olympics in London, one for the team and another for floor exercises. In the year 2016 Raisman returned to Rio for the Olympics in Rio with silver medals in the individual all-around final and floor exercise and gold in the women's gymnastics team event. In 2017, Raisman revealed she had suffered sexual assault at the hands of former team physician Larry Nassar, and the subsequent year, she sued USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
